Good morning Barracuda parents! Your kids sure swam their hearts out at the time trials last night! They’re looking ready to go for the 2019 swim season! As they prepare in the pool, there are a few items we parents need to be preparing for behind the scenes:

1.Declare for meets—You need to mark whether if your swimmer will be swimming in each meet. Please visit https://brightmoorbarracudas.swimtopia.com/ and in the right hand column mark and click meet entry. For each meet select whether attending or not. An undeclared swimmer will not be scheduled to race (assumed absent)

2.Mock meet—Mock meet is this Saturday. Please be at the pool at 8:30! Kids will get a feel for how a meet runs and while the parents train in the various volunteer roles. The meet will be followed by an ICE CREAM SOCIAL. Each family is asked to bring a topping for the team.

3.Directions to Meets (courtesy of Greater Charlotte Swim League)—Here are the directions to meets. Please keep in mind that the team rep may send us better directions the day before the meet. If we send out different directs later, follow those instead. And always double check with your GPS.

4.Review volunteer sign ups—Please sign back in to Swimtopia and review the volunteer positions you have signed up for prior to the mock meet so you can be properly trained. We had some job shifts due to the Division VI meet schedule alterations.

5.Be sure you are signed up for REMIND. We communicate through this frequently, especially regarding weather delays and cancellations. You can find that information on https://brightmoorbarracudas.swimtopia.com/
