Hi Barracuda Families! We are so excited that a new season is about to begin and another summer of fun with friends is upon us.

Here are some reminders for PRACTICE which begins next week:

• Practice
  starts this coming Monday (5/8) for Barracudas, ages 7-18
  
  • 6:00-7:00 - ages 7-10
  • 7:00-8:00 – ages 11-18
  • Practice daily
• Practice for SHRIMPS, ages 5-6, starts Tuesday (5/9)
  
  • 5:30-6:00 – ages 5-6
  • Practices are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday only

Parents & Practice:

Please prepare your child that the water will be cold up through the end of May. The more they swim in it, the warmer their bodies will be. Encourage them to bring a
hoodie to warm up in after practice. 

Also, please remember that summer swim is about fun and growth--neither of which can happen if we are not safe. Shrimps and other people new to swimming will be evaluated for water safety during practice in the first week. More to come on this. 

Shrimp parents are required to stay at the pool during practice because sometimes your kids may need you. You may walk the kids to the lower deck to leave them with coaches and then return to the top deck.

ALL parents:
During practices. parents need to stay on the TOP DECK if viewing. You cannot sit on the bottom pool deck.

May 12—Suit fitting at 5-7--upper deck

May 16—Parent /New Parent Meeting at 6—upper deck

What should your swimmer bring to practice?

• Positive attitude
• Goggles
• Towel
• Bottle of water
• If you have gear like kickboards, bring it. BUT we have them to provide for the
  swimmer otherwise (don’t purchase just for summer swim)

What should your swimmer leave at home/ not take on lower deck?

• Gum & Food 
• Toys
• Electronics (water and electronics don’t mix well--if bring phone have it in a water proof case or bag)
